The flowering cycle is based on a continuous duration oflighting of 12 hours of day and 12 hours of night. This cycle must be strictly respected so as not to stress plants ("flashing") and not to relaunch them in growth.
Moreover, it should be known that a plant will not flower until one to several weeks after the passage in flowering cycle. It is precisely during pre-flowering that the plant still requires a significant supply of nitrogen (growth fertilizer) until the first flowers appear. There, the plant goes into "declared flowering" and its needs are essentially based on two other macronutrients: Phosphorus (P) and Potassium (K).
For optimal flowering, the temperature of the growing space or box should be limited to between 20 and 25 ° C and hygrometry between 45 and 50% (to avoid mold in the flowers or fruit).
It is advisable to transplant the plants into their final pots (7 to 30 liters) depending on the size of the plants desired, the duration of their flowering and the type of fertilizer (mineral or Organic) used, not forgetting to upholster the bottom of the pots with balls of clays. For the 2 to 3 consecutive waterings, the only contribution of a root stimulator (pH between 6.2 and 6.8) is recommended to limit the stress experienced during the repotting. Then, depending on the range of fertilizers used, the growth fertilizer must be continued until the first flowers appear. At "declared flowering", the flowering fertilizer, rich in phosphorus and potassium, is gradually added and adjusted to pH 6.8 (between 6.6 and 7). To increase the floral production or fruiting of the plants, it is recommended to add to this fertilizer base a bloom stimulator. Finally, for plants intended for consumption, a rinse (only water supply pH 6.8) will take place two or three weeks before harvest in order to remove all traces of fertilizer in the finished product. The yellowing of the leaves is a sign of a good rinsing process. After that, good appetite!
Like the cultivation in soil and following the range of fertilizers chosen, the transition to the flowering fertilizer is done only at the appearance of the first flowers. Thus, the fertilizer of growth is to be continued during the pre-blooming (about 10-15 days). In order to optimize yields, a blooming enhancer (PK 13/14 for example) or a bloom stimulator (Top Max for example) are to be expected at the "declared flowering" in addition to the flowering fertilizer base (including pH Between 5.8 and 6.5) whose dosage is increasing.
