William Texier was born in Paris. After having studied at the national Institute of Gemology in France, then at the Geological Institute of America in Los Angeles, he discovered the hydroponics in 1985 and has a passion for this mode of culture. With his long-time friend Lawrence Brooke, founder of General Hydroponics, it develops systems aero-hydroponic and conducts research at the White Owl Waterfarm in Sebastopol, California. In 1994, he returned to France and created General Hydroponics Europe with his wife, Noucetta Kehdi.
William Texier is one of the pioneers of innovation in the industry of hydroponics. In 2004, he designed and patented the bioponie (the hydroponics bio). Today he heads the department of research and development for General Hydroponics in collaboration with a team consisting of researchers from different departments of the University of California.
He has also published articles in the international press and conducts seminars around the world. With thirty years of experience, he is considered a world reference in the field of hydroponics.
